Q: Do you travel outside of Southern/Central NH?

Absolutely. We love serving the Granite State and beyond. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance, but we go where the mission takes us.

Q: Who will be photographing my event?

We operate as a team. While Derrick (the owner) oversees all quality control and often shoots events personally, we assign staff based on availability and specialty. You always get the DL Photos standard of quality.

Q: What about insurance?

We are fully insured with general liability coverage and carry backup gear for every scenario. We take risk management seriously.

Q: How do you handle licensing?

We keep it simple. Events come with a minimum 2-year commercial usage license. For small businesses and non-profits, we typically offer non-expiring usage so you can use your photos forever.

Q: What happens if the event runs longer than expected?

We understand that great events don't always stick to a script. We are happy to stay longer if the schedule slips! We can add overtime hours at our standard hourly rate, which will be billed after the event.

Q: Do you provide a "shot list" or should we make one?

We highly recommend you provide a list of "must-have" shots (VIPs, specific sponsors, award winners). However, if you don’t have one, don’t worry—our team is experienced in capturing the standard flow of nonprofit, corporate and social events without needing constant direction.

Q: How much space do you need for setup?

For roaming photography, we need zero space! If you are requesting a specific backdrop or a stationary photo station, we typically recommend a 10x10 foot area to ensure guests can move freely, but we can adapt to smaller footprints if needed.

Branding and Tech

Q: Can you customize the Live Gallery with our logo?

Yes! The Live Gallery interface that guests see on their phones can be branded with your event logo or sponsor branding. This is a fantastic way to give sponsors extra visibility. With the Live slideshow, you can even put in a single sponsor or event ad every 20 images!

Q: What if our venue has bad lighting?

We are prepared for any environment. We bring professional off-camera flash and low-light capable equipment. Whether it’s a dark banquet hall or a bright outdoor tent, we have the technical skills to make the images look great.

Q: Do you offer video services for events?

Currently, our "One Mission" is focused strictly on high-quality photography. However, we can often recommend trusted local videographers that we love working alongside.

Booking & Payment

Q: How do we secure our date?

To lock in your event on our calendar, we require a signed contract and a 50% non-refundable retainer. The remaining balance is due by the day of the event.

Q: Do you offer discounts for non-profits?

Community is huge for us. While we have standard rates to support our staff and business, we do offer specific licensing structures (non-expiring usage) that add massive value for non-profits. Reach out, and let's discuss your specific mission. We love to be creative.

Q: What is the difference between "Commercial Use" and "Copyright"?

Great question. DL Photos retains the copyright (ownership) of the images, but we grant you a "Commercial License." This means you have the legal right to use the photos for your marketing, website, social media, and press releases without needing to ask us for permission every time.
